This is a particularly charming castle hotel situated in the heart of the Rhine valley, overlooking the river and within walking distance of St Goar town centre. A steep drive up the hill leads to the castle hotel. Rudesheim is on the other side of the river about 15mins drive away.The rooms vary hugely in both shape and size, but on average they are medium sized, though those in the annexe tend to be larger. They are all traditionally decorated with individual styles varying from the rustic to the elegant. All the rooms are in very good condition.The restaurant is located off the lobby. A large window offers a fantastic view across the Rhine, and there is also a terrace which can be used in warm weather.The main building is a castle whilst the annexe is more like an old fashioned villa.A few steps lead up to the small reception, which is charming and welcoming.This is one of the most traditional charming castle hotels in Germany.
