Close by Aphea Village are some of the most famous beaches in the world such as Falassarna, Elafonissi, Balos lagoon and the island of Gramvousa, waiting to explore them. The sandy organized beach of Kolymvari, is just 400m away, with crystal clear water, and little further is the orthodox academy of Crete, the historical Monastery of "Moni Gonias", and the cave of St John the Hermit.
