The traditional accommodation is situated in Jozankei, a hot spring resort area, which is about a one-hour car ride from Sapporo city centre. Due to the renowned healing effects of the natural hot spring waters, this area became famous and today attracts many domestic and international visitors. Sapporo Kokusai Ski area and Mt. Hakkenzan with its picturesque views of the ravine mountains are near-by. From Shin-Chitose Airport it takes about 35 minutes by train to JR Sapporo Station. From the station it takes 80 minutes by bus to Jozankei Shako Mae Bus Stop, and just a minute walk to the Ryokan.The rooms are Japanese style only with no beds. By day, the rooms are furnished with a low table and zabuton floor cushions on Japanese straw tatami mats. By night, the room is transformed with Japanese futons into a sleeping area. There is also a sitting area with two armchairs and a coffee table.
