You really can't get more central than this! Lying in the very heart of Poland's capital city, the 3 star Metropole Hotel is situated opposite Warsaw's tallest building, The Palace of Science and Culture - a 42-storey, wedding cake "gift" from the Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin. Lying at the intersection of two of Warsaw's main streets, Marszalkowska and Al. Jerozolimskie, the hotel is not only a stone's throw from a selection of major retail outlets and trendy boutiques, but also within easy walking distance of Warsaw's beautiful and atmospheric Old Town; in addition to being practically on top of Srodmiescie metro station, the no. 175 airport bus has a bus stop right in front of the building! All in all, the Metropol offers a total of just over 165 rooms which are equipped with private facilities, satellite television, telephone, and offer hairdyers and ironing boards on request. In addition to providing guests with comfortable accommodation, the hotel also invites visitors to its Metro Jazz Club Restaurant, an informal venue which is not only very competitively priced, but also offers a friendly atmosphere, excellent cuisine, bar and jazz music.
