The Pousada de Ribadumia has been designed and built within the set of actions called "Pousadas Jardín: Creation of a tourist product" of the Pontevedra Provincial Council. The project is located in the municipality of Ribadumia, Salnés region, Pontevedra province. The area is characterized by its Atlantic climate, the richness of its estuaries and the landscape of vines for the cultivation of Albariño wine. The whole of the Pousada is fragmented to create green spaces between the volumes and adapt to the presence of trees and the different rural scales of the surrounding buildings. The common services block rises on the first floor, to create a covered access on the ground floor and continue the scale of the adjacent parish house. The small scale of the mills along the Umia is taken as a reference for the modules of the rooms that are rotated according to the optimal orientation and views, to create a patio that functions as a private outdoor space. The water runs through it, like another stream, while the vegetation covers the open spaces.
