Description
The Placeandquot;, is a brand crafted with style under the Hotel Royal Group. The name of andquot;the Placeandquot; stresses deep link to local culture where the hotel locates, and insists the spirit of andquot;Fun, Fusion, Fashionandquot;. The Place first opened in Tainan in 2014, then the Place Yilan, the Place Taichung were born. In 2019, the Place officially opens in Taipei. From the early tea village, black town to the modern tech center, we collect and keep these moments for travelers. We fuse local imagery with creativity, energy, surprise to reinterpret the city outlook, and build a place to rest, share and exchange ideas. We also build a way to explore the city and converse with it, hoping to bring travelers, the city and local spots closer together. Design team from Mecanoo architecten in Holland was appointed on a project basis for the interior design of the hotel. The team planned for 179 chic and simple rooms, the public art space, meeting rooms and specialty restaurants. The team uses ports, red bricks, tea and other historical and pictorial elements in the hotel to present different periods of Nangang. The exterior and lighting of the hotel building are designed by internationally famous C.Y. Lee and James Yuan. The faandccedil;ade is streamlined to enrich the silhouette of skyline, adding to local features of the building, and stressing the importance of being the center of transportation; the unique, innovative and moving lighting at night is the first system to operate by new type of chip with WIFI, together creating a very distinctive landmark in Nangang. Travelers who come to Nangang is returning home, but it is also the beginning of a new journey
