On one of the oldest streets in York, in the heart of our neighbourhood of Walmgate, you will find Hotel Indigo® York. Surrounded by culture and steeped in rich history, our hotel shares its neighbourhood with the iconic, historic sites of York, the many vintage shops and other hidden gems just waiting to be discovered.Experience our fresh take on design in our 101 new, modern and high-quality boutique guest rooms. The design reflects the rich chocolate heritage of Rowntree and Terry's of York and the city's stonework. On our walls, look for references to this important history in chocolate production, as well as family names, printed on our bedside lamps, of the people who lived on this street, centuries ago.Just a stone's throw away from beautiful Walmgate Bar, one of the many gates that lead to the heart of the city, guests can explore the vibrant streets of York, taking in Northern Europe's largest Gothic York Minster, 300 years of railway history at the National Railway. Let us inspire you with another taste of the neighbourhood with one of our signature cocktails, or experience the flavors of our locally sourced menu, including our specialty Yorkshire meatballs.Though the history of our neighbourhood reaches far back, our amenities are modern. The Hotel Indigo York offers complimentary Wi-Fi, complementary fridge, 24-hour room service and fitness studio. We look forward to welcoming you!
